Region of Durham and DRPS 50th Flag Raising Ceremonies:

Regional Chair John Henry and DRPS Chief Peter Moreira will take part in the raising of Region and DRPS ceremonial flags to commemorate the 50th anniversary of these two organizations.

Wednesday, January 31st

8:30 am at Regional Headquarters, 650 Rossland Road East, Whitby

DRPS 50th Community Event:

Saturday, June 15th, 2024

at Iroquois Park Arena, 500 Victoria St. W., Whitby (10 am – 4 pm).

Please join us as we celebrate our 50th during a community day for all ages. Enjoy the many booths, demonstrations and displays. Featuring DRPS Pipes and Drums, K9, community safety information and presentations, police vehicles, food trucks and so much more.

Festivities will include A Walk Through the Ages with a micro-museum chronically DRPS highlights over the past 50-years, as well as unit demonstrations from the Tactical Support Unit, K-9, and more!

Enjoy music and refreshments as the community comes together to take a walk down memory lane, and celebrate this golden milestone event.

DRPS 50th Gala Dinner:

MAY 22, 2024 – Deer Creek, Ajax
